The Reid™ Threaded Metric Insert (TIM) is a proven cast-in anchoring solution used throughout New Zealand’s precast and concrete construction sectors. Designed to create strong, durable fixing points within concrete elements, TIMs support the attachment of structural components, service brackets, panel connections, and a broad range of ancillary fittings.
Featuring Reid’s original large-foot design, the TIM provides enhanced concrete anchorage capacity and secure in-place stability during casting. Manufactured in zinc-plated and hot-dip galvanised finishes, TIMs are suited to general construction environments and offer an efficient alternative to post-installed anchors. They are supplied pre-threaded to ISO metric coarse standards, ensuring compatibility with standard bolts and simplifying installation on site.
TIMs form part of Reid’s long-established cast-in connection portfolio and are supported by comprehensive New Zealand-specific technical guidance for load capacity, installation, and reinforcement detailing.
